Some general assumptions people make
about music production is that it can only be done within a studio and its
extremely complicated, when in all reality it can all be done from a laptop and
it’s probably the simplest way of making music when its over a laptop it’s the
studio that is extremely complicated.
The article I was reading hit
some very good points that I think most people don’t really think about. They
mentioned in one of the articles I chose that “when it comes to music they fail
to recognize the creative power of consumer preferences on which songs
survive”. That for me is one of the most realist things I’ve ever read out of
an article about music. People don’t give enough credit to producers,
ghostwriters, executives none of that its always on the performing artist and
most of the time that performing artist had nothing to do with any of the
making of the music. People truly take
songs and hits for granted when you really get to thinking about it. Now a day
it, you listen to a song or album for maybe a week or even months, after that
its thrown out and you really never go back to it, at least that’s what I’ve
seen among a lot of people. People are going to make the assumptions that
either I can’t produce or that I can but it will sound terrible because of how
“Young” or “Unexperienced” but I already got plans to debunk both of those
common assumptions.
I’ve done a bit of research
but I’ve been doing a lot more examination on people and how they choose to
enjoy their music I think good music is truly taken for granted. There is still
a such thing as good music in 2017 it’s just the fact that it’s hard to find
because for one there’s a whole community of artist on YouTube, sound cloud who
are famous and getting the same amount of money as the industry artist they
just simply don’t promote themselves like how industry artist do so a good
majority of people who don’t take music as serious never even know they exist.
To me, industry artist are watered down and everything sounds the same.
